FragFest World of Warcraft Guild Charter Revised: 3/06/2006
Background and Expectations
FragFest has been around for more than 12 years now. We’re proud of our traditions and standards, and as such we try to maintain certain standards and guidelines for our members. This document provides a general outline of how we expect our people to interact with one another as well as with others within the gaming community. It is very VERY important to us that we maintain respect and professionalism at all times, while of course having fun. FragFest will not tolerate disrespectful actions from our members, directed at anyone, friend or foe. Keep in mind that your actions reflect upon the entire Guild and as such, are taken very seriously. There are to be no rude gestures of any sort to opposing factions (/spit /rude etc). Likewise, we expect our people to behave both honorably and professionally in all situations. When posting in -any- public forum you are expected to conduct yourself in a professional manor that reflects well on the Guild. If you can’t be polite and professional, please don’t post! Any violation of this may result in disciplinary action, and possible dismissal from the guild.
Communications Almost all issues that arise between players can be tracked down to problems with communication. We expect our people to do as much as they can to avoid this sort of problem. As such, we use certain tools to facilitate communications. TeamSpeak is a voice over IP (VoIP) program that lets you voice chat to other guild members. As a means of in-game communication, it is far superior to typing in guild chat. TeamSpeak is a requirement for membership and participation in FragFest. Members may participate without a mic, so long as they are logged into teamspeak to listen. . If you don't have a working mic, make sure you're heard in raid/party chat, and keep in mind that because you don't have a mic you might have to speak up a bit to get noticed in text chat. Fragfest focuses most on TeamSpeak communications, so if you type something in Raid Chat, and it seems to be ignored, just keep trying.
Code of Conduct It is everyone's responsibility to report any actions that do not conform to the FragFest code of conduct to a FragFest Officer. We can have no hope of fixing a problem, or assisting a user with his or her situation if no one reports it.
At anytime if there is an issue that arises, please contact an official FragFest representative. Dennis Racine (FragFest Founder and Big Dog, the buck stops here) (in Game: Racine / Elinore / Vhespa / Allenrdia / Rayceen) You can mostly find me on Elinore. Also please note my 4 year old plays Allenrdia and Racine from time to time so if you don't get a response from that charater, that's why :) People who can also help to resolve issues and have some authority whenRacine is not available: | ALLIANCE | | Primary Contact | Secondary Contacts | People who can give advise | Raid Leaders | | | | | | HORDE | | Primary Contact | Secondary Contacts | People who can give advise | Raid Leaders | Ffhbossman Velan | Hitz | Bickfist | Frostchil |
Any major issues should be brought up directly to Racine but if you need a quick answer to a question or have a small issue, feel free to contact anyone of these people. Resources The FragFest guild is a group effort. As such everyone is out to help each other out as much as possible, in order to better the Guild as a whole. Therefore most items and resources are often shared freely with those members who can use them to improve their character their character. Trade skills as an example: most people will offer their trade skills freely to anyone in the guild, only asking for materials at most to produce the product if that. See the section on FFVault, below for more information. Non-Dedicated FragFest Guild Loot Rules: (This is a Raid Group that is not 100% FragFest Members)These are the actual loot rules that Racine has Macro’d. Ticket system is in place. What this means is ONE ticket per person. You will see that everyone is an advisor in the raid. As your ticket is used, u will be demoted, so everyone can keep track. Any BOP that you roll on will use your ticket. If everyone passes on a Blue or Green BOE, everyone is then allowed to roll on the item One BOE blue random roll allowed per person. BOE Green loot is ALL ROLL - Class SETS go to that class only. If they pass, ALL PASS and we random unless u want to punch ticket. NO PUNCHING ticket on class sets TILL that class has had a chance to roll. CHESTS: Everyone is allowed one chest. Winner of the chest will receive all loot except any BLUE items. If there is a BLUE BOE/BOP it will be a ticket item. If all passes then it's an ALL roll non-ticket. Epic (Purple) drops: -EVERYONE PASS- Item first is available to anyone who can use it AND has not punched their ticket yet. Then to those who have punched and can use -YOU MUST EQUIP IT-. Finally if no one is in that group it's a free for all roll. Dedicated FragFest Guild Loot Rules/Guidlines: When running a Dedicated FF run we use a system similar to the above but with some exceptions. If a non-set item drops (say a decent cape or non uber weapon) and everyone passes, but someone would like as an upgrade, the group can decide to give that item to person who wants it (non-ticket).An item that drops that is a set piece or uber type weapon, that is a Ticket item. Everyone in the class for that item can roll on the item, assuming they have not already won a ticket item already on the run. If you are the only one who can use the item, you will also be able to loot it. While Green Items are often AH and DE fodder, Blue bind on equip items and set pieces should be handled slightly differently when received in a FF Raid or group. If no one in the current group needs or can use the said item, and you receive them item on a ‘free roll’ you should help the Guild, by finding someone who can use the item within the guild or sending the item to the ffVault account to find a home for it. As of June 7, 2005 if you send the item to the ffVault, we’ll put your name on it and if no one needs it in 15 days or so then we will send it back to you to AH or do whatever you please with it. This will greatly help the Guild as a whole grow stronger quicker than just selling said item off.
At no time is a blue or better BOE item allowed to be 'ticketed' for sole pupose of selling in the AH or in general trade. If no one in the current group can use or wants to use the item, free roll the item, and have the winner send the item to vault. If no one wants the item in 15 days it will be sent back to the winner, who can do with it as he/she wishes.
We will be considering giving people a small amount of DKP for certain items donated to the vault.
It is encouraged that if an item is not of significant increase in power, you step down and allow someone who it is a significant power increase for to have it.
The FFVault:
Anyone who has been in the guild for at least 10 days, will be allowed to roll on any item in the Vault (for them to use). To request an item form the vault, simply click on the item on the website and enter in your in game screen name and short reason for wanting the item. If more than one person requests and item, it will be rolled on by those people. Once you receive an item from the vault you are asked to send another item of equal or greater value to the vault before asking for an additional item. Recipes/Plans will be considered on a one on one bases based on that item. Any purple items requested from the vault will use FP (DKP) to purchase those items. Teamspeak: It is strongly suggested that everyone join the FragFest Teamspeak server. Even if you do not have a microphone, you can listen in on the raid chat, which is very important, and will be required for all high level instance raids.Download Teamspeak at: http://www.goTeamSpeak.com Our Server IP address: ts3.fragfest.com (207.105.167.16) if you have problems using the DNS name, try using the IP address. This is a unkown TS Bug. Once you get connected to the server, get an account registered so you don’t need to worry about the base server passwords. To do this ask a person with SA at the end of their name to allow you to register with the server. Once they so this you can click on self > Register with Server. Then you can enter in a user name and password to use. Next modify your shortcut to auto-log you in. To do this, right click your teamspeak icon and select ‘Properties’ and modify it to be similar to the following (Replacing your login information of course): "C:\ProgramFiles\teamspeak2_RC2\TeamSpeak.exe"ts3.fragfest.com/nickname=FF|Racine?loginname=racine?password=mypassword?channel=World of Warcraft – Main In team speak during Raid runs, please make a attempt to keep non-raid chatter down to a minium. Especially when pulls are trying to be organized. If this is confusing, talk to anyone with an SA on the end of their title, as shown in the TeamSpeak window.

Guild Chat and TeamSpeak Voice should be a place where we all go to communicate with each other, request assistance for quests, look for guild groups, and many other things. There are some basic policies regarding conduct and use that we should all be aware of so we can keep all our chats, typed or voice, friendly and non-hostile environments. It is our hope that we will never need to review these policies, but they are here just in case.1) The use of outright obscenities and "four letter words” is expressly forbidden. Slipping is one thing but the continuous use of language objectionable to other members should be restrained. If you receive a Tell to ease up on language please do so. If you feel the Tell is unwarranted the officers will be glad to discuss it with you.2) Arguing in Guild Chat will not be allowed under any circumstances. If an incident occurs that you feel needs to be voiced feel free to send a Tell to an officer to set up a channel to discuss it, hopefully rationally. All members that wish to discuss said incident should feel free to join this channel.3) Harassing, degrading, and any abuse of fellow members will not be tolerated. If you feel you are being treated as such, send a Tell to the member who is behaving so and, if the behavior continues, contact an officer. Sometimes the officers are busy with many things such as scouting targets, officer meetings and more, and will miss a lot of what is going on in guild chat. It’s up to you to make sure the Officers know there’s a problem.4) During raids, Guild Chat is used by officers for communicating with those not yet in raid and those members that logged in too late to attend raid. A clear Guild Chat channel is also needed to recover after a wipe. Please try to avoid unrelated chatter during raids. If Guild Chat becomes a distraction during raids, the RL or officers may ask members to use a designated Chat channel instead. Website: Everyone is also required to create a user account on the FragFest.com website. After creating an account, notify Racine that you have done so and you will be added to the WOW Guild users list. This will put your account in the list of Guild members on the WOW Guild Page. Please also at that point update your user profile with your information and screen shots etc. http://www.fragfest.com/The_FragFest_WOW_Guild.cfm FTP Site: The FragFest Guild does have a FTP site that is open to all users to be able to upload screen shots, mods and other relative files for other members to have access to. For more information about how to access the FTP see the Private FF Forum at: http://www.fragfest.com/Clan_Private_Forum.cfm In Game Guild Screen: Please make sure you go into the Guild Screen (Hit O on your keyboard and select the ‘Guild’ tab) and modify your public note to reflect your Trade skills. This helps us to both know who to contact for a certain trade as well as to send items to those who can use them. Your Alts should use this field to show you main’s name. For instance, Ephesias lists “Sanpaku’s Alt” in his title field.

Major Raids
1) What is a formal DKP Raid? a. Only BWL, MC and Onyxia raids yield DKP at this point. Instances that yield DKP will be revised as Blizzard releases new territory. The rules for this are set down in the DKP Explained papers. b. Only approved Raid Leaders or Officers can lead a raid that yields DKP, and then only with the Peons (that’s the GM :} ) approval ahead of time. c. A DKP Raid requires at least 18 members plus the Raid Leader in order to qualify as a Raid. d. Anyone can lead a raid that doesn’t yield DKP.
2) Raid composition and personnel: a. All leaders of raids, formal and informal, will select the mix of classes and levels to allow. b. The method(s) used to join the raid will be chosen at the Raid Leader’s discretion. These may included but are not limited to whisper invite, and personal hand-picking. c. Note that requests in Guild Chat or voice may not be heard and will therefore likely be ignored. d. In selecting the Raid Team, the Raid Leader will based his or her selection on the following criteria: i. Need for that class in the raid. ii. Participation in other raids and degree of assistance offered to the Guild. iii. How much the player helped the guild in other ways, including assisting in non-DKP instances at other times. iv. Seniority in Guild.
e. Note that being here on time for a raid does NOT ensure you will be picked to enter.
3) Holding spots in a Raid. a. The Raid Leader may, at his or her discretion, hold spots based on the aforesaid criteria, if doing so is absolutely necessary for the success of the raid. For instance, if the raid strategy requires Warlocks, and none are online, spots may be retained for Warlocks at the start of the raid, in order to not delay raid commencement. b. The practice of saving spots will be avoided whenever possible.
4) Who runs the raid. a. The Raid Leader is, for the duration of the raid, its unquestioned commander. b. All choices regarding personnel, loot determinations, discipline, strategy and tactics, etc. are the raid leader’s decision alone. c. Complaints may be filed with guild officers after the raid. d. There is no complaint process during a raid.
5) Players who are bumped, or cannot enter a full raid will be placed on the Waiting List.
a. The Waiting List is administered by the Raid Leader. b. Entries on the Waiting List are on a first come, first served basis except as follows: i. Raid composition is the foremost requirement – if a given class/level is needed, that class/level will, at the Raid Leader’s discretion, be inducted first into the raid. ii. The Raid Leader will also take into account time with guild, contributions to the guild, number of raids the player voluntarily stood down, professionalism and ability to get along. iii. Other than the aforesaid, decisions to include from the Waiting List are on a first come, first served basis. iv. Once a player has been inducted into the raid, all efforts to retain that player’s position in the raid shall be made.
6) Formal Raid Leaders shall be informed of this procedure, and of various concerns leadership has, including the need to train recruits in our methods, etc.
7) Filling a Raid.
a. Based on the aforesaid criteria (most notably needed classes), the Raid Leader will select first from: i. Guild Members. ii. Guild Recruits iii. Guild Applicants. iv. Others.
b. Players are expected to be at the Raid Staging Point at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the Raid. Failure to appear on time is a just cause for removal from the raid, at the discretion of the Raid Leader. c. Note that late arrivals will go on the waiting list. d. Note also that non-members will NOT be booted to accommodate Guild Members if that Member arrives late. e. Raid Leaders may remove any player in the raid for cause. i. Cause includes anything that is deemed by the Raid Leader to disrupt the raid… ii. Or is an act in contravention of the Guild Charter. iii. The Raid Leader is the sole arbiter of this. iv. Removal for cause may be petitioned after the raid, to the GM.
f. Players are not allowed to have “Stand In” players, playing their account for them in order to “hold their spot” in a raid. With raid spots being at such a premium for certain classes, members are not allowed to have someone else driving their character so as to preserve a position in a raid. If you cant be there yourself, you should allow someone else who IS there to have that spot in the Raid. g. Exceptions to the above would include family members who historically have shared the user account, or if the Raid Leader specifically asks a third party to fill in an account. h. The Raid Leader will always have full and complete knowledge of who (what actual person in real) is playing every character/toon.
8) Bidding in raids is explained in the document entitled “DKP Explained”. The DKP “Explained” document is a rule set for bidding, and will be considered as part of the Guild Charter for reasons of arbitration.
9) NOTE TO NEW MEMBERS. FFA staffs raids on the basis of seniority and, as such, may make it hard to get into raids, especially at first. Be aware that, if you show up raid-ready for scheduled raids, this IS noticed and logged, and it figures positively into future raid placements. Also, you WILL eventually get into raids – we promise. However, when joining FFA, or maintaining as a new member, we ask that you understand this clearly, and keep it in mind.
Eligibility for membership:
Membership status may be granted and continued, as long as the following conditions apply.
1. Compliance with Guild Charter, DKP Rules and spirit. Guild members are expected to comply with all existing guild rules as expressed in the FragFest Guild Charter and the “DKP Explained” document. In addition, the Charter mentions some basic community values Fragfest members are expected to adhere to. Failure to comply with any of these may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal from the guild.
2. General Decorum and “Guild’s Best Interest”. If a player acts in a manner that interferes with the smooth, pleasant operation of the guild, this may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal from the guild.
3. Single Guild Membership. All alts of a player that are over the level of 35 must be member-characters of FragFest, or a special exemption may be granted by the Guild Master allowing this. Applicants will be expected to list all alts, and to bring all alts into FragFest once they achieve level 35.
4. Personal Identification All information listed in the Guild Application, Member Profiles, etc. must be accurate and up to date. The guild will keep such information private. Failure to update changes in said information, particularly contact email and NAME of PLAYER may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal from the guild. In the event that your account is given to another person or you are going to discontinue use of that account, that individual is responsible for: a. Notifying the GM and Recruitment immediately. b. Updating all information in the Application and Member Profiles section of the FragFest Forum.
Note that, in the event of an ownership change, said notification does NOT guarantee continued membership in FragFest. Membership in Fragfest is associated with the individual; not the account or toons. The Guildmaster is entitled to know the identity of the individual playing a member toon at any time, if not by name then by relationship. If your brother is playing your account over the weekend, the GM is entitled to know, and must be informed, that it’s your brother and not you. If your toon is played by an unknown and unapproved player, you may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including dismissal from the guild.
